Why was Netscape perceived as a threat by Microsoft?
3. Microsoft thought Netscape was a threat because people were using it to do things that could only be done previously through paying Microsoft.
4. When the two companies met, Microsoft told Netscape that they could take 1 million dollars to give them all their code, or they could take them down, without giving them any money at all. When they refused, Microsoft threatened computer companies to force them to use Microsoft over Netscape, and flooded the market with browser after browser.
5. The anti-trust lawsuit was brought against Microsoft because they were attempting to control every aspect of the computer industry.
6. In the end, the lawsuit forced a chip into the Microsoft Empire, but was ultimately allowed to continue.
